Shikshak Prasar Mandal (SPM) was founded in year 1960 with generous donation from shri bhikulaji Nabira so as spead higher education in this area as it lacked the facilities from higher education. Late Barrister S.K. Wankhede (The creator of famous Wankhede Cricket Stadium, Mumbai) Was the founder President of Shikshan Prasarak Mandal till his death.He specialisation in various fields ware started. Nabira Mahavidyalaya was established in 1961 intial with arts faculty only.
