1.
The candidates who are eligible for admission to Pharmacy Diploma Course
shall submit
their applications,
Complete in all respect, along with attested copies of all necessary
certificates
so as to reach on or before the prescribed date. |
| 2.
Application shall be filled by candidate in his/her own handwriting. |
| 3.
Eligibility for Admission to First Year Diploma in Pharmacy. |
For
admission to the first year of the diploma course in Pharmacy, the candidate
should have
passed the Higher Secondary Certificate, (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra
State Board
of
Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, or any other examination declared
by the
said
Board to be equivalent thereto, with and in (1) Physics, (2) Chemistry,
(3) Biology or
Mathematics,
and (4) English. |
| 4.
Domicile: |
Domicile
Certificate is not necessary if the candidate has passed the qualifying
examination
form
a recognized institute in Maharashtra and has studied and passed his/her
X, XI and XII
standard examinations from a recognized school in Maharashtra. |

4.1 Sons/daughters
of the employees of (I) Govt. of India or (ii) Undertakings of Govt.
of
India shall
be eligible for admissions, even though such an employee is domiciled
in any other
state
or union territory, and even though the candidate does not satisfy the
conditions
mentioned
in Rule 5 above, provided that, (i) such employee has been transferred
to
Maharashtra
within a period of two years prior to the last date of submission of
application
forms,
and (ii) has Joined the post in Maharashtra before the last date of
submission of
application
forms, and, (iii) has not been transferred out of Maharashtra after
that.

4.2
Sons/daughters of persons domiciled in Maharashtra will also be eligible
for admission
even if
they do not satisfy the conditions mentioned in rule 5 above, provided
that the
candidate
produces a domicile certificate in respect of his her father/mother.
In case of
mother’s
domicile certificate, the candidate shall |
submit
an affidavit on Rs. 10/- stamp paper, stating that the person
in
whose name the domicile certificate is issued is the mother of
the
candidate.
The domicile certificate issued
by the Government Authorities
only from the State of Maharashtra such as Executive Magistrate,
Sub
Divisional
Magistrate and as authorize by the District Magistrate
shall be
acceptable.
The
domicile certificate by choice or domicile certificate for educational
purpose shall not be considered. |

| Reservations |
| 5.1
Backward Class Candidate
Seats shall be
reserved for backward class candidates from Maharashtra State, as per
the
percentages given
below, of the sanctioned intake

Note:
(1) Non-Creamy Layer Certificate: The candidates claiming to belong
to categories
NT2, NT3
and OBC shall submit a certificate, valid for the current year, and
issued by
concerned
Sub Divisional Officer / Deputy Collector / Collector that the parent
of the
candidate
do not belong to creamy layer as per the relevant orders of the Government
from
time to
time. |
(2)
The caste certificate produced by the candidate claiming reservation
shall have a clear
mention
of the category of reservation and the caste of the candidate. |

| 5.2
Physically Handicapped (PH) Candidates: |
a)
As per the provisions in Clause 39 of Equal Opportunities, Protection
of Rights and Full
Participation
Act 1995. Three (3) percent seats of total sanctioned intake capacity
of
Government,
and Non Government Aided institutes shall be reserved for physically
handicapped
candidates. These seats are within the sanctioned intake of the institute.

b)
Out of the three percent reservation for physically handicapped candidates:
|
One
(1) percent of seats shall be reserved for visually impaired (blind)
candidates (P1).
One (1) percent seats shall be reserved for speech & hearing impaired
(dumb and deaf)
candidates,
(P2) One (1) percent seats shall be reserved for candidates with orthopedic
disorders
and learning disabilities, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphica, Spastic
(P3). |
Note:-
It should be noted that the physically handicapped candidates on admission
to
Engineering/
Technology degree course will not be given any exemptions or additional
facilities
in the academic activities other than those which may be provided by
the
respective
Universities. |
C)
Certificate required:- The candidate shall produce a certificate, in
the prescribed
proforma,
i.e. Proforma “B” from the Director/Dy. Director, All India
Institute of Physically
Handicapped,
Mumbai or Civil Surgeon, regarding his or her physical disability, and
ability to
undergo
all parts of syllabus such as theory, practicals, workshop etc., for
the course. |
